We are all trying to connect in various ways during this perilous time.
I feel that gathering for services is one way that Jews handle times like these, although virtual services are a new wrinkle to be sure. Also, I wanted to give those who wish to say Kaddish an opportunity to fulfill this mitzvah with their own community.
For now, we will meet via Zoom every weekday morning at 7:30 AM. Sunday morning we will meet at 8:30 AM. On Shabbat morning, we encourage you to jump onto a livestream service. We have enjoyed the services at Park Avenue Synagogue, but there are many others.
We will be using Siddur Sim Shalom (the “old” Siddur) which is laid out for weekday services, whereas the Siddur Lev Shalem is meant for Shabbat and Holidays. I do have most of the pages cross-referenced and can help you through it if you only have Lev Shalem.
If you wish to borrow a copy of Siddur Sim Shalom, we have some at CoM. Please call ahead to have one left at the door for you. Also we have several extra sets of Tefillin to loan at CoM and you can borrow a set if you’d like to brush off old skills or learn new. I would be happy to review that with you if you are new to it. Just let me know.
Thank you !
